Since October 2022 Softline has been operating under the brand name Noventiq.
Introducing innovative educational solutions is fundamental in creating an interactive and hands-on learning experience. The importance of new technological implementations in the classroom was further accentuated by the pandemic, as educational institutions had to make their own transition to remote teaching and learning.
Improving higher education experience and adapting to new challenges
In order to stay adaptable and resilient, higher educational institutions required to make collaborative tools integral parts of their operation. Access to data and communication tools is imperative anytime and anywhere for teachers and students. Amidst these circumstances the Hungarian Academic and Research Network Association (Hungarnet) was in search of a new partner to provide Microsoft 365 licenses to the entire Hungarian Higher Education system. Hungarnet is responsible for the centralized procurement of 49 higher education institutions covering 320,000 students and 40,000 faculty members. Therefore, in the process of finding the most competent IT partner, credibility and experience were essential requirements.
Learning beyond classrooms with collaboration tools
Through a public procurement, Softline demonstrated its ability to integrate the right products in the most efficient way and gained the opportunity to provide access to Microsoft collaboration tools necessary to support distance learning. As a result, the latest software solutions support Hungarian university students and teachers in using the best technology during their studies and work. Besides, collaboration tools act as catalysts in enabling remote education even in the most challenging times.
‘We are thrilled to partner with Softline to ensure that more than 40,000 faculty members and 320,000 students will be able to use the most updated technology solutions they need to teach and learn. The pandemic highlighted the need for resilience in education, and we are proud to implement this project that will guarantee uninterrupted access to vital EduTech tools that facilitate distance learning, no matter what challenges the future may bring’, Dr. Tick József, President of Hungarnet.
‘Softline has gained extensive experience in supporting educational entities around the world. I am extremely pleased to have the opportunity to leverage our knowledge in digitalization and collaborate with Hungarnet. As a result, Softline will supply more than 400,000 Microsoft 365 licenses to the entire Hungarian higher educational system. Through the collaboration, we can efficiently support Hungarian universities and colleges with our services in exploiting the available technologies entirely and prepare students to the increasingly digital working environments’, explained Zoltán Mészáros, Vice President, Softline Eastern Europe.
